The Season is here...

(stone pictured is green aventurine)

The holiday season is upon us...
I admit I have often felt dread this time of year...
So much work to finish... too much rushing... financial stress,
it felt like the spirit of all of it had been co-opted.

But this year I just find myself excited.
Excited to create the pieces for clients for gifts.
Excited to decorate the tree.
Excited to give to, and spend time with, dear friends and family.
And super excited for the annual indoor snow ball fight
with my pack o' kids.

Wishing for all of you a feeling of gratitude,
joy and excitement this season.
And wanting to offer, at the outset,
these simple practices that help tremendously...

Deep energizing grounding breaths,
drinking lots of water
Cleansing green juice, balancing the extra alcohol and sweets
Times of quiet mind and meditation

allowing you a window into its mysterious world...

Gem Silica is a blue green and most rare variety of chalcedony...
A highly silicated form of chrysocolla.

This particular piece
came from high in the Andes of Peru
and it's color and quality are amazing...

Soothing the nervous system,
Opening the heart,
allowing for more spaciousness and awareness.
When I feel this green garnet on my skin
I there is a calming.
I notice the receiving of my breath.
I notice the beating of my heart...
